English Work Page - Week 25 2021

My Sister is Coming.

Next week is going to be busy.  My sister and family are coming.  Husband and 3 kids.  It's going to be fun.  I'll have very much to do.

They are staying for ten days.  It's more than enough. How old are the kids?  The youngest is seven, the oldest is 10.  2 boys and 1 girl.  The girl is the youngest.  She's sweet.  The boys are boys.  

They live in New York.  My sister's a lawyer, her husband's a talk show host.  He's a really nice guy. He grew up in New York.  He's a real New Yorker.  My sister and I grew up on a farm in Lower Austria.

And, what have you planned?  Nothing.  There's enough fun on the farm for the kids.  They'll love it.  And, I can't wait to see my sister again.

A Lazy Weekend!

This weekend was a very slow weekend.  We had a lazy time.  We spent most of our time in the garden.  A little bit here and a little bit there.  Nothing special.  

But, the grill  on Saturday evening was great. Two beautiful steaks. We bought them at Hoffer's on Saturday morning. And, the wine, too, came from Hoffer's. Very good and a very good price. Only 3 Euros a bottle.  

After dinner we watched Grafenegg on TV.  Buchbinder was playing.  A sensational concert.  Brilliant as usual.   We are definitely going to Grafenegg.  I love the atmosphere.  Classic and fine.

And, what's planned for this week?  Nothing special.  Let's wait and see! 

English Work Page - NEW - Week 23 - 2021

Last Week

Last week,  I went to Schönbrunn.  The weather was great.  I went to the Rose Garden.  The roses were beautiful.  They smelt wonderful, too.  Suddenly, I heard my name being called.  I turned round.

It was an old friend. Billy.  What a coincidence.  I haven't seen him for years.  We got talking.  He had had a very good lockdown.  Working from home. Perfect. But, he was just a little bit angry.

Reichenau.  No Reichenau.  A national disgrace.  But, otherwise, things were OK.  Billy has tickets for Grafenegg.  Billy and his wife are Buchbinder-fans. 

We went for a coffee.  My first coffee out for a very long time.
