The Golden Roof of Innsbruck



Innsbruck is a wonderful city in the middle of the Austrian Alps, Innsbruck is a beautiful place to visit. And, Innsbruck has something unique. Its world famous landmark. The Golden Roof.

The Golden Roof was built in the 15th century to shelter Emperor Maximillian whilst he sat on his balcony. And, it is called the Golden Roof because of its 2,657 gold plated copper tiles which shine in the sun.

Innsbruck is a beautiful city in Tirol. Why not visit it yourself.

The London Underground

The London Underground is the oldest underground railway in the world. It was opened in 1863. The Londoners call it the Tube.

The tube has 270 stations and 11 lines. The lines are not numbered. They have colours and names instead. The oldest line is the Hammersmith and City Line which is red and yellow. The newest line is the Victoria line which is purple. The entire network is 402 kilometres long!

The Tube is used by more than 3 million people each day. It is the most popular way of getting around London. It's fast, cheap, clean, and reliable.

And, what does little Florentine do every night? She reads Eric the spider a Japanese story.

Little creepy-crawlies are the little animals that little girls hate! These include spiders, earwigs, centipedes, worms, slugs, fleas, maggots and cockroaches. And, all creepy crawlies have many things in common. They are not only revolting, they are disgusting, hideous, repugnant, repulsive and horrid! And, their homes are horrible, too.

And, little creepy-crawlies live everywhere! Creepy-crawlies can be found on the top of our cupboards, beneath and behind our fridges and stoves, and they feel just fine in our beds! Creepy crawlies are everywhere. And, they like our food, too!

We can find them in sugar, fruit, and vegetables, too.   So, why do little girls hate them?  Creepy Crawlies are very good friends.
